Russia has two naval flags because of a historical change in the country's flag design. In 1696, Tsar Peter the Great introduced a new flag for the Russian navy, known as the "St. Andrew's flag". This flag featured a white background with a blue saltire (a diagonal cross) and a red eagle in the center.

Moscow is the capital and largest city of Russia. The city stands on the Moskva River in Central Russia, with a population estimated at over 13 million residents within the city limits, over 18.8 million residents in the urban area, and over 21.5 million residents in its metropolitan area.

Moscow has never changed its name. Lots of cities in Russia had different names in different times (St Petersburg - Leningrad , Stalingrad - Volgograd etc). Moscow is a very unclear name but maybe it's even better. Noone ever wanted to call it in a different way.

The coat of arms of Moscow depicts a horseman with a spear in his hand slaying a basilisk and is identified with Saint George and the Dragon. The heraldic emblem of Moscow has been an integral part of the coat of arms of Russia since the 16th century.
